Start here: help in Colorado, step by step

The short answer

If you don't know where to start, dial 211. Then apply for SNAP and Health First Colorado (Medicaid) through PEAK, and use the pages below for shelter, ID, jobs and legal help.

Need help tonight?

Step 1: Dial 211

211 Colorado connects you to local help for shelter, food, bills and more. Say your city or ZIP code and what you need today.

"Hi. I'm in [your city or ZIP]. I need help with [shelter, food, a bill] today."

"Is there anything open now? What do I need to bring?"

Step 2: Food and health coverage

Colorado PEAK is the state website to apply for SNAP, Health First Colorado (Medicaid) and Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+). You can also use the MyCOBenefits app, or turn in a paper application at your county human services office.
